1. Cleaning Deck and Fence
We clean your deck or fence with professional regulated power spray equipment. We use a mould and algae cleaner/remover/brightener that is still safe for your plants and lawn. It soaks for a few minutes to loosen the grime which allows us to use less power washing force . This removes most tough stains from mildew, mold, algae, fungus and moss; and leaves the surface cleaner. Even removes most grey weathering on wood, chalking and oxidation
2. Safety Repairs
We do minor repairs to ensure the safety of your family using the deck Railings get loose, a few screws or bolts tightened can usually fix the problem. In some cases replacing the top railing rotted board is an inexpensive strength fix that modernizes the appearance also. • A few rotted board edges on your deck, we can cut out the old boards and replace them with solid boards. • Loose or weak frame of steps can normally be fixed on most staircases • “Old nails showing their spikes are dangerous for children, and adults.” If your deck is all rotted boards we will not waste your money working on it, and will suggest you find a deck builder instead to replace all of the top boards. Cleaned and stained rotted boards are still rotten boards.
3. Stain to Seal and Protect
Once your deck or fence is clean and secure we apply ONE COAT of a high-quality stain to beautify, protect and preserve the wood. (more coats at extra cost than standard quote) We can help give you the approximant quantity of stain and basic information about your stain purchase. Deckwash leaves the final decision of where you want to purchase the stain, the quality of stain, tone colour, finish of transparency etc to you. The stain is your purchase at your expense and not included in your quote. Your store choice provides multiple warranties to suit you. What to expect when you call?
Deckwash needs your name, email for quote, address to view property and phone number. All estimates require an on-site viewing of the decks and fence to establish condition. This can be done while you are home or if preferred and with your email written permission I can view the yard while you are at work, about 15 minutes to view and measure. A detailed estimate will be sent to you. Upon your approval of the quote a date for starting will be established and request for you to obtain the stain.

Sanding Vs Power Wash
The sun bleaches exposed wood fibres, and wear can cause splintering, discoloration and flakey older stain. Power washing helps restore the natural beauty of the wood by removing loose debris and ground-in dirt even in the cracks in the wood. Power washing removes a micro layer of old dead fibres and exposes the open pores of the cleaner wood for better adhesion.
